UNI-USER Multipurpose user operator panel |
| |
| SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS |
This equipment has been designed to
perform two different type of applications.
One as interface between the operator and a PLC.
The other one as member of a net of UNI-USERs, actuating as
terminals of a PC.
In the first application, depending of the PLC model, the RS232C
or the RS485 is used.
In the second, the RS485 is used. Each UNI-USER has a number identification in
the net.
The PC sends messages that are displayed by the terminals and,
upon request, the PC collects the data inputted through the keypad in each terminal.
As an optional, and USER-KEY could be attached to the UNI-USER.
This module interfaces with the intelligent keys. So operator recognition is done in a
safe mode.
If the UNI-USER is connected to a PLC, then the internal PLC
variables as timer, counter, or other word presets could be modified/displayed.
A programming software running under Windows 3.1, 95 or 98 is
used to edit a menu structure as complex as desired. The limit is the 16K memory capacity
(more than 200 pages -menus-).
The programming of this terminal is completely independent of
the PLC programming, so it frees the PLC from the inputting/outputting task.
If the PLC sets Alert or Alarm bits, the corresponding message
is outputted in the UNI-USER |

| SOFTWARE |
Program written in Visual-Basic, runs
under W3.1, W95 or W98.
An array of pages -menus- could be constructed with the
following characteristics:
1) Different kind of pages -menus-,
could be used. Alert, Alarm, Distribution, PIN, Normal, etc.
2) The text that appears in each
page could be edited.
3) The different options that
appear in each page, such as the distribution menu or the combo menu could be edited
(text, kind and parameter number could be selected for each option).
4) The maximum and minimum values
for each parameter could be established.
5) The text that appears when one
of them is reached could be edited (one text for the max and other for the min).
6) Selection of the page number to
which the flow has to be derived. This number could be different for each event (ESCape, ENTer, scroll UP & Scroll DWN key pressed).
7) An auto time-out option
could be established for each page, with different time for each page.
The time runs when no key is pressed, and reset with each key
pressed.
When the time-out ocurrs, the execution is derived to the page
selected for the ESCape event. |
