CSA7  Twin Height Controller for Oxy Cutting
In Oxy cutting machines it’s necessary to perform an uniform height between the metal sheet and the torch. The thinner sheets curve during the cut. Thicker ones frequently hasn’t an uniform thickness.
The CSA7 controller solve both problems in all kind of machines. The ones with optical tracer and the CNC controlled.
This controller works pulse modulating the DC motor that lifts the torch.
The cutting distance is monitored by a high sensitivity capacitive ring sensor, with a working range of 2-10mm.

OPERATION 
The controller has two operation modes. Manual & Auto. 
In Manual Mode, activation of the Up1 & Down1 or Up2 & Down2 adjusts the working height of each torch. 
To set the working height of torch #1, the Up1 & Down1 must be simultaneously activated. 
For the torch #2, the Up2 & Down2 must be simultaneously activated. 
In Auto Mode, the heights pre-programmed in Manual Mode are maintained. 
Simultaneously Activating the Down1 & Down2 Inputs switches from Manual to Auto Mode. 
Activating one of the 4 inputs switches the controller from Auto to Manual Mode. 
 
CNC OPERATION
Due to the simplicity of operation, a CNC could easily operate the controller. 
For speeding up some complex cuts, the torch must be lifted and re-positioned between cuts. 
This kind of operation is possible with the CSA7 controller. The only requirement is the CNC has two additional outputs to raise/low each torch. 
One output activates the Up1 & Up2 simultaneously to raise both torches, and the other one activates simultaneously the Down1 & Down2 to put the controller in Auto Mode so it starts to control the height. 
Two external push buttons are used to activate simultaneously the Up & Down inputs of each torch to set the working height. (See Operation)
